Go Gravesham Visitor Guide - now online
By Mary BDuring this past few months we have been busy working on our first Go Gravesham Visitor Guide.
We are pleased to say that it is now available as an online flick through edition on the homepage of our tourism website www.gogravesham.com (You will need flash player 8 to open it).
The brochures should be with us very soon and available for you to pick up from the Visitor Centre at Towncentric from next week (weather permitting).
We hope that you like this new version and the way it promotes the borough.
Best
regards,
Virginie

brookwood cemetry near London
By seaspirit (magda) cthis sounds a bit morbid, but is a fasenating study of bereavement. It has a interesting history and did have it's own railway to bring coffin and mourners out from London, so there are no old graves, but does support a victoria cross grave. It is set out in communities, like little village cemtries and family plots like little gardens of rest, it cover many religions, each using thier own customs.
There is also a whole portion set aside for war graves, the USA site ofcourse being the biggest complete with flying flag but several counries are represented.
They do themed walks round the site, based on the flora and fauna found on the site ( appointment needed)
It was quite cold and rainey the day we went and the local pub was really welcome and the meal pretty good before the walk back to the station
would like to go on a better day in the summer and visit the wilder areas where the flora and fauna are.
